Section 43J: Norms for accreditation of arbitrators.

1[43J. The qualifications, experience and norms for accreditation of arbitrators shall be such as may be specified by the regulations.]

1. Substituted by the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Act, 2021, w.e.f. 04.11.2020, for the Section which was inserted in “Part-IA Arbitration Council of India” by Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Act, 2019, w.e.f. 12.10.2023 [vide Notification No. S.O. 4486(E) dated 12.10.2023]:

“43J. The qualifications, experience and norms for accreditation of arbitrators shall be such as specified in the Eighth Schedule:

Provided that the Central Government may, after consultation with the Council, by notification in the Official Gazette, amend the Eighth Schedule and thereupon, the Eighth Schedule shall be deemed to have been amended accordingly.”.
